Many thanks to everyone who took the time to come out to vote yesterday. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in being elected to both the County Council and Saffron Walden Town Council.
Residents for Uttlesford won both seats, retaining their position as the strongest party in Saffron Walden, and they will continue to represent us at County Hall, and control the Town Council with a strong majority. R4U will be responsible for representing the Town’s interests during the period of Council amalgamation, and I wish them, and Cllr Paul Gadd, the best with their endeavours in this regard.
This was one of the toughest campaigns I have fought, and I appreciate everyone who supported me in my efforts to be elected. It will be interesting to see how the new West Essex Council develops going forward.
Dear David,
I am sorry to learn that you were not successful, but well done and thanks also for all your efforts. The Conservatives under Kemi will undoubtedly be back, but it was just too soon to expect this after all the problems created so recently by the previous Conservative Administrations.
Best wishes, and have a good rest,
David Hall
Well done for campaigning and for all your efforts. Sorry you did not succeed. I am glad we kept Reform at bay.
Thank you
Margit
